NO TENER CASA MATA
DIRECTED BY: Esteban Perles
PRODUCED BY: MCNULTY
The film explores the challenges faced by those without homes who were unable to comply with stay-at-home orders, highlighting the additional difficulties they experienced during this time.
With stay-at-home orders in place, those without homes found themselves in a contradictory situation - they were expected to stay at home, yet they didn't have one. The film features interviews with immigrants who didn't speak Spanish, transgender individuals who faced increased fear and rejection while homeless, and people who have chosen to live on the streets for decades. The documentary sheds light on the daily struggles these individuals face, including finding food and accessing shelters, as well as the added complications caused by violence, theft, and abuse within shelter environments.
